Horrible experience!! I took a short cocktail dress to Isabella to alter, she was nice and courteous in the beginning and I trusted to her to do a good job based on the review online and after speaking to her. I asked her to ensure the dress is fitted, I went in and tried on the dress 4 times. The 1st time to try on the dress so she could Pin it. The 2nd fitting, the skirt area was too big, the bust and top of the dress was also too big so she had to Re-PIn the dress again, this time I asked her to take in a bit deeper in the side area. 3rd Fitting, dress was too tight it couldn't be zipped up and the part I asked her to take in deeper was too tight. 4th and last time to pick up the dress as it was finished, the Dress was still too tight it couldn't be zipped up, she made me hold my stomach in and cinch my waist in with my hands so she could zip it up. The Skirt area was not tapered and has bumps everywhere. I took a picture and sent it to Isabella and her response was that this was not her problem, not an alternation issue but the dress material issue. She said I have Physiological problems, a problem with myself and that I was looking for free work. This was after she was paid in full. I ask her if she can fix the dress as I couldn't wear it looking like this. I was going on stage to receive an award and if you take a look at the picture of this dress, it looks horrible in the skirt area. She directed my calls to voice mail refused via text to fix the dress or refund the money so I could pay someone else to fix it. This dress costed me $300.00 to buy and $160 in alternation. I'm so afraid to wear this dress as it will pop right open in the back zipper area because there is so much pressure and I can't even breath. She told my husband that he was to be carefull when he tries to zip it for me and that I have to suck my stomach in and hold my waist in with my hands before he can zip it up. How the hell is that right!! I don't write reviews like this, I'm not a mean spirited person at all but I'm so mad and sad at the same time over this stressfull situation that I feel people should be aware of taking their clothing to Isabella. She is sweet and nice in the beginning but once something goes wrong, she takes no responsibility and refuses to fix her mistakes. If you do decide to take your alternations to her, please don't pay her before the work is done and you are completely satisfied with the outcome. I was also spoke to another lady there that was getting her alternations done on her wedding dress, she was also not happy with the work on her wedding dress and overpriced cost of her work. I was ok with paying $160 for my alternations and all I wanted was my dress to be fixed properly. I've attached my text message conversations and pictures for reference. In addition to Isabella's comments, I asked if I could try on the dress before I left her store, she told me no that she's spent too much time on my dress and she has work to do. By the way I just found out that $160 to do the alternations was OVERPRICED so please shop around before you take your dress to Isa Designs.

40% over priced (I paid 90% of the cost of the dress for alterations) but quick turn around on wedding dresses (6 weeks for a summer wedding-not bad). Punctual. Don't waste money installing button to raise trail of dress. Flawless hem! Sewn in bra cups are the way to go and they do a great job.
